School of Applied & Life Sciences Celebrates Gandhi Jayanti

151st Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was celebrated by School of Applied & Life Sciences in Uttaranchal University. 2nd October is also celebrated as International day of Non Violence as announced by United Nation General Assembly in 2007. The event was inaugurated by Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak, Principal (Applied & Life Sciences) Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh and NSS Coordinator Prof. (Dr.) V.K. Srivastava by lighting the lamp and garlanding at the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi. In inaugural speech Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak advocated the significance of non violence and culture of peace in today’s scenario. He advised all the faculty members to follow his principles and should develop culture of human ethics and manner among our students. Principal of Applied & Life Sciences Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh highlighted the contribution of Mahatma Gandhi in Indian Independence Movement. Prof. Singh expressed gratitude towards Vice Chancellor for his kind presence and words of blessings.

On the occasion NSS Team also celebrated National Blood Donation Day on 1st October 2020. NSS coordinator Prof. (Dr.) V.K.Srivastava, Heads of department and all faculty members were present.
