School of Agriculture (SOA) organised a “Mann Ki Baat” event on 25 April 2022. The aim of this event was to explore the thoughts of the students which they want. As we know that Mann Ki Baat was initiated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister through which he connects online with citizens of India and shares his voice and thoughts among the common people in our country for the fulfilment and upliftment of society.
During the Mann Ki Baat organised by SOA, UG and PG students of agriculture were instructed to participate and motivated to share their thoughts and views regarding academics, sports, extra-curricular activities, and any other matter directly or indirectly related to the university campus. The student participants expressed gratitude to the organizers for providing such an opportunity to express their thoughts. The major suggestions received related to not doing online examinations, casual uniforms at least one day a week, Saturdays off, industrial and education visits, increasing the credit hours of the subject because of the vast syllabus etc. Dean SOA and faculty members paid attention to the potential suggestions of the students and convinced them to transform them into actions. The event was successfully conducted and ended with a vote of thanks by the HOD.
