Hospitality Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organised a “One Day Online Guest Lecture on “Interview Skills” on 25 April 2022 for Hotel Management students on the virtual platform of MS Teams, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM, Uttaranchal University, Associate Professor, Manish Badoni, HoD, Hotel Management and Assistant Professor, Surendra Singh Bhakuni, Faculty, Hotel Management.
Mr Saurabh Khurana, Food & Beverage Service Manager, Ananda in The Himalaya was the guest speaker for the workshop. The Worksop was inaugurated with a welcome address by Associate Professor Mr. Manish Badoni. He welcomed Mr. Saurabh Khurana and emphasised the importance of the necessary skills required for facing an interview.
Mr Khurana explained some easy steps that one can take to increase the chances of success in interviews. He discussed the guidelines for interview preparation and suggested the key points for self-assessment measures one can take. The overall session was very informative and knowledgeable. The workshop was attended by all BHM students and members of the faculty. The session ended with the questions and answers session. Students of BHM asked a few questions regarding soft skills and interview skills. In the end vote of thanks was proposed by Mr Surendra Singh Bhakuni, Assistant Professor. The workshop was well coordinated by Mr Bikky Singh Panwar, Assistant Professor and Mr Abhishek Negi, Assistant Professor.
