School of Agriculture conducts Yoga Activity

GATE 2019

School of Agriculture conducted Yoga Activity for the students of B. Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, I Semester on 20 February, 2021 in Agriculture Block under the supervision of  Mr. Avadh Bihari Pal, Coordinator – First Year.

Yoga is not a religion, it is a way of living that aims towards a healthy mind in a healthy body. Man is a physical, mental and spiritual being. Yoga helps in promoting a balanced development of all the three. Yogic exercises recharge the body with cosmic energy and facilitates attainment of perfect equilibrium & harmony, promotes self- healing, removes negative blocks from the mind & toxins from the body and enhances personal power. Yoga enables one to live with greater awareness, helps in attention, focus & concentration, is especially important for children, reduces stress and tension in the physical body by activating the parasympathetic nervous system and aids towards better relationships.

The activity aimed to emphasise on significance of yoga in our lives. It is a mandatory part of the curriculum of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture Programme.

SOA appreciated the active participation of students.
