School of Agriculture celebrates “International Yoga Day”

School of Agriculture celebrated “International Yoga Day” on 21st June, 2020 virtually. Students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture of all semesters performed different Asanas at their home and participated with zeal and enthusiasm. Yoga plays a crucial role in promoting health in a holistic manner by improving physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health. Yoga serves as a solution to fight stress and alleviate other ailments including depression & anxiety. Yoga is an invaluable gift of India’s ancient tradition. It embodies unity of mind and body; thought and action; restraint and fulfilment; harmony between man and nature; a holistic approach to health and well-being. It is not about exercise but to discover the sense of oneness with oneself, the world and the nature. By changing our lifestyle and creating consciousness, it can help in well being. Prof. (Dr.) J.P. Mishra praised the students’ efforts and wished them good health in such pandemic situation.
