Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Science organizes a Seminar on “Water Conservation and Waste Water Treatment”

A one-day Seminar on “Water Conservation and Waste Water Treatment”was organized by the Department of Biotechnology, Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Science (UCALS) on 12th February, 2019. Prof (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Principal (UCALS) in his introductory address emphasized on the need of measures to be adopted for water conservation, elaborated upon causes of water pollution and major steps taken for the conservation of water on earth. The aim of this seminar was to acquire knowledge about the different management activities to conserve water, laboratory tools and techniques to monitor and control the water pollution. In the Technical Session, Dr. Vinod Kumar, Department of Chemistry, Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Science (UCALS), as a Technical Expert, discussed about the major steps taken to control water pollution, management of waste and their treatments, handling of analytical tools along with importance of adopting and practicing SOP. 125 participants attended the seminar and attained the knowledge of innovative approaches for water conservation and treatments for waste water.
