The NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University organized a one-day Awareness Camp – “A Fight against Drugs and Addiction” in the slum locality near Premnagar, Dehradun on 10th October, 2017.
Mr. Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Vice Chancellor and Dr. Abhishek Joshi, Director-Student Affairs and IT Services flagged off the event and directed the student and faculty members of the NSS wing towards their destination.
Students of various colleges of Uttaranchal University actively participated in the campaign. The objective of the camp was to fight against the menace of drugs and addiction by creating awareness about the fatal effects of drugs. The vulnerable youth were encouraged to “Say NO to Drugs”. The addicted were motivated to triumph over their addiction and move towards a healthy life. The message was emphasized through the thought provoking enactment of Nukkad Natak by the student members.
Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal-SALS, Ms. Dipika Saxena and Dr. Shalu Chaudhary were present on the occasion. The awareness campaign was organized by Mr. Atma Nand under the guidance and supervision of Dr. V.K. Srivastava, Coordinator-NSS Wing of the Uttaranchal University.
