NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University organized “Inquisitive” – a Quiz Competition and Group Discussion on 20th February, 2020. This event is conceptualized by Uttaranchal Institute of Technology.
The main purpose of the program was to spread awareness among the students regarding social events and their personality development. All the students along with the faculty members had participated in the event. The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. Muneesh Sethi (Director – UIT).
This event was organized under the supervision of Dr. V.K. Srivastava (NSS Coordinator- Uttaranchal University) and Mr.Arvind Singh Rawat (NSS Coordinator- UIT) along with NSS Members – UIT.
The event initiated with Lamp Lighting Ceremony followed by an address stating the aim and objectives of NSS. Dr. Sethi, Director, UIT enlightened the students with his words of wisdom and told about the importance of NSS in our society. The event started with a quiz on general knowledge. 10 participants were selected for the second round, i.e., the Group Discussion Round. The topic for group discussion was “Can India become a 5 trillion dollar Economy by 2024”. Kuldeep Rawat [B.Tech. (ME) III Year] emerged victorious followed by Satyam Anand [B.Tech. (ME) III Year] and Gurvinder Singh [B.Tech. (ME) III Year]. Students from all the branches actively participated in the event with full enthusiasm. Heads of all the constituent departments were present on the occasion.
NSS Wing is looking forward towards organizing more such events in the near future to promote social awareness among students.
