Law College Dehradun organized a Seminar on “Career Development – How to Achieve Success in Life” on 23rd March, 2021, in collaboration with Uttaranchal Institute of Management. It was an honour and privilege to welcome Ms. Pooja Anand, Head – Human Resources at Red Hat (IBM) and Mr. Vivek Anand, Associate Professor, Uttaranchal Institute of Management as the Keynote Speakers of the event. The event commenced with the felicitation of the guests and a warm welcome extended by Hon’ble Vice- Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak, who introduced the speakers to the gathering.
Ms. Pooja, in her address, captivated the audience by quoting down the example of Michelangelo (the famous Italian Sculptor). Then she threw light on the meaning of success stating, “Success is putting a structured framework towards achieving our goals.” Moving on she discussed the seven keys to success in detail which includes balance, attitude, continuous learning, empathy, emotional intelligence, ethics & integrity, spiritual anchor and determination. The speaker also emphasised on the significance of growing mind-set, perception, leadership qualities and introspection with the audience. Ms. Anand concluded the session by foregrounding the importance of continuous learning as a key to a successful life. Mr. Vivek Anand then familiarized the audience with his childhood experiences thus adding more enlightening points to the discussion. He then accentuated the importance of positivity, determination and confidence in life.
The session came to an end with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Hon’ble Vice –Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Devendra Pathak. The event was witnessed by students and faculty members of Law College Dehradun and Uttaranchal Institute of Management.
