Law College Dehradun, Faculty of Uttaranchal University, accorded a grand felicitation to its alumni Surbhi Singhania & Shubham on 13th August 2019 for clearing U.P. Judicial Services Examination and being appointed in U.P. Civil Judge Junior Division.
Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi presented a memento as a token of appreciation and recognition to the young judges Surbhi Singhania & Shubham of 2013-18 Batch of Law College Dehradun. He mentioned that it is an honour and pride for the University to felicitate them for bringing laurels to the University as well as their family. He also expressed his appreciation towards all the faculty members for motivating the students as mentors and kindling the hidden talents in them.
Principal and Dean Prof. (Dr.) Rajesh Bahuguna, in his speech, proudly expressed his happiness in felicitating Surbhi Singhania & Shubham, the young judges, in the benign presence of Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi and Vice Chancellor Prof.(Dr.) N.K.Joshi. He exhibited his heart-felt happiness and appreciation for the achievers and mentioned that the aim of life lies in pushing one’s limitation. He declared that their achievement was the result of their hard work and dedication. He stated that it is a matter of pride and tremendous achievement for the college and the achievers, Subham and Surbhi, for getting selected in UP Judicial Services Examination – 2018 at an early age of nearly 23 years, i.e., immediately after completing their graduation in the year 2018 without any coaching. He was also proud to state that Law College Dehradun has produced 33 judges.
Surbhi Singhania in her speech expressed her gratitude towards the management, Principal and Faculty Members of the college and stated that the entire credit of her success goes to the college and her family members who supported her morally and emotionally.
Shubham in his speech conveyed his gratitude to HOD Prof.(Dr.) Poonam Rawat and his mentor Mr. Kumar Ashutosh who were instrumental in guiding and motivating him to pursue his dream. He clearly explained the preparatory procedure to be followed by anyone who aspires to crack judiciary examinations. Constructive discussion along with knowledge is vital for a law student. He, in his message to his juniors, stated that there can be no short cuts to success or any alternate for hard work. He concluded with the words that it is vital to identify one’s weakness and work on it.
