Law College Dehradun emerged victorious in the “8th Dr. Zakir Hussain Memorial National Trilingual Debate Competition 2019” organized by Jamia Millia Islamia Central University, New Delhi on 12th February, 2019. Two teams comprising of Neera Sinam &Anannya Bhatt in English Team and Manu Kumar & Nimit Saroha in Hindi Team represented Law College Dehradun. The motion of the debate was ‘This House Believes that Reservation is not an obstacle to the Development of the Nation’ Amongst the 23 English Teams which participated in the competition from all over the nation, LCD’s English Team made a brain storming battle of logical rebuttals and persuasion at the prestigious Debate Competition and won ‘The Best English Team Award’. This Award was won by the Debating Society of Law College Dehradun for the third time in continuance. Anannya Bhatt also bagged the title of ‘Best English Speaker’ out of 46 English speakers who participated in the National Debate Competition. Law College Dehradun once again left its indelible mark in the debating circuit. Our heartiest congratulations to the entire team.
