‘Indian Sweets & Confectionery’ on October 24, 2019

Diwali is one of the most beautiful festivals in the world . In India the celebration of the festival of lights includes few prior check lists like Laxmi Puja idols, prasad, diyas, lamps, games and sweets.

Department of Hotel Management celebrated the occasion with pre-Diwali Luncheon and Sweets Workshop where budding chefs of the school prepared various types of sweets and confectionaries including GulabJamun , Stuffed GulabJamun, Jalebi, BesanLaddoo, Coconut Barfi , Lauki Halwa , Phirnee , Naan Khatai, BoondiLaddoo, to mention a few.

Chef Hitendra Singh Chauhan, Instructor of the Workshop, guided the students and shared his own recipes of the dishes but mentioned that the secret ingredient is love & dedication towards the food.

The Workshop concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by Mr. Manish Badoni ,HOD– DEPARTMENT OF HOTEL MANAGEMENT , wherein he advised the students to practice these sweets at home this Diwali and avoid purchasing readymade sweets.
