A one-day Hands on Training-cum-Workshop on “Analytical Techniques” was organized by Department of Chemistry, UCALS, Uttaranchal University on 7th August, 2018. The Keynote Speakers were Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Principal-USALS and Dr. Bharti Ramola, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, UCALS. An Invited talk was delivered by Dr. Saurabh Srivastava.
The event was inaugurated by the lighting of the auspicious lamp by Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi, Vice Chancellor, Uttaranchal University, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Principal, UCALS, Dr. Bharti Ramola and Dr. Saurabh Srivastava.
In his Keynote Address Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh told about the importance of Volumetric Analysis in Research and Development. Convener of the Training Programme Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh in his address briefed about the Training Programme and the expertise of Invited Guests and Technical Experts. In his address he also provided an insight about basic and fundamental knowledge on volumetric analysis utilized in industries.
Dr. Bharti Ramola her Keynote Address emphasized on qualities and skills to pursue a successful career in industries.
Dr. Saurabh Srivastava delivered an Invited Talk on ‘Quality Control Management’.
Dr.Vinod Kumar, Ms. Shivangi Omer and Mr. Shivam Pandey along with students of M.Sc. (Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry and Food Technology), B.Sc. (Chemistry, Food Technology and Biotechnology) were present during the session. The students expressed their interest and curiosity by asking questions. The session was very interesting and interactive.
The Workshop, as a whole, proved to be very informative and successful.
