Finance Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management organizes ‘Corporate Roadies’

Finance Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Management organized an online activity for the students of Management and IT entitled “Corporate Roadies”. The activity comprised of two rounds. The First Round was B-Quiz which was conducted on 1st May 2021 and the Final Round was conducted on 22nd May, 2021.

Master of Ceremony, Ms. Neeti Misra, Assistant Professor and Head- Finance Club, welcomed all the dignitaries and introduced the audience and participants to the event.

Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, Dean-UIM, motivated and appreciated the efforts of the students and encouraged them for participating in these types of events in future also. He said that business plans are the base work for the success of any business. One has to be very careful while designing it. A lot of focus has to be given to the target customers, price of product, time required to achieve its BEP and the product and business cycle. If the students focus on the said things then it will improve their entrepreneur skills as well.

‘Corporate Roadies’ was designed to test financial literacy and management skills as well as roadies’ spirit among management students. The main objective of the activity was to promote and impart knowledge in the field of finance and foster an environment among students that encourages continuous learning and discovery of recent trends & developments in the field of finance Industry.

The activity was divided into tworounds.

Round 1:

B-QUIZ- Online B-Quiz was organized in the first round and included 30 MCQs related to business. In this round total 136 students participated and highest scoring 15 individuals were shortlisted for the next round. It was a test of speed, mental agility and personality. The quiz covered all the aspects of business quiz.

Round 2

B-PLAN- In this final round shortlisted five teams presented a B-PLAN with their innovative ideas through PPT presentation. The task was designed to test the management and entrepreneurial skills of the students. After the presentation of the various teams judges and faculties put forward some of their queries, which all the teams answered with full confidence and energy. 

The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by Ms. Neeti Misra.

The event was a success and was attended by HOD-Management Dr. Amitabh Bhargava along with other faculty members and students from various management programmes.

On the basis of evaluation compiled by judges the winners were as follows:
