With an aim to sensitize and motivate the new faculty members, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, Uttaranchal University organized the “Faculty Orientation Programme for Quality Enhancement-2022” on 5 August 2022. The program enabled them to understand their roles and responsibilities and familiarized them with the structure, governance, rules, and regulations, functioning of the department, exploring pedagogical processes and recognizing the significance of socio-emotional development of students and inculcating the importance of nurturing ethics and values in higher education.
At the outset Prof (Dr) Pradeep Suri, Dean, UIM delivered a welcome address and helped faculty members to understand their key roles and responsibilities. Dr Deepti Sharma, DIQAC, UIM briefed about the Uttaranchal University and Uttaranchal Institute of Management by discussing its mission and vision. Mr Rohit Dhiman, Head, Criteria 2, UIM discussed in detail the functionalities of ERP. Mr Anil Singh Chauhan, COE, UIM elaborated on the examination and evaluation scheme. Ms Sonakshi Bhatia, Head, Criteria 7, UIM discussed the activities of academic and non-academic clubs and cells. Dr Babita Rawat, Head, Criteria 3, UIM familiarized the new faculty members with the research collaborations and consultancy of UIM. At last, a vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and faculty members was proposed by Dr Rajeev Ranjan.
