An Educational Tour to Vigyan Dham, UCOST was organised on 27th September, 2017 for the students of B.Sc.(H) Physics, B.Sc.(H) Chemistry, M.Sc. Chemistry & M.Sc. Industrial Chemistry of School of Applied and Life Sciences. They were accompanied by Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh, Principal-SALS, Dr. Poonam Negi, and Dr. Naveen Kumar. The students and accompanying faculty attended a seminar on “Role of Sister Nivadita in Development of Science in India”. This seminar was organised on the occasion of 150th Birth Anniversary of Sister Nivadita who was a disciple of Swami Vivakananda and propagator of Science during the British rule in India. Eminent personalities like Dr. Jayant Shastrabuddhi, Organizing Secretary-Vigyan Bharti, Prof. Shankar Tatvawadi, Dr. Suchismita Sengupta and Dr. Rajendra Dhobhal, Director General- UCOST gave motivational lectures on the life of Sister Nivadita.
Students visited Science Park and Science Museum where the latest technologies related to science were demonstrated.
