The department of mathematics at Uttaranchal university organized an educational tour to FRI, Dehradun for B.Sc. (hons) mathematics SEM –1st students on 7th Nov 2015. The motive of the tour is to provide the real world application of mathematics and the different uses of various statistical tools needed by the UG students. In this tour the students visits various museum namely Silvi culture Museum, Entomology Museum, Forest Pathology Museum, Timber Museum and the non wood forests product museum.
All the museums are unique in character and provide essential knowledge about the application of mathematics requires in the field of forestry and environmental sciences.
