A Training Program on UV-VIS Spectroscopy was organized by Department of Chemistry. The program was inaugurated by Prof. (Dr) Ajay Singh, Principal, Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Sciences. In his Inaugural Address, Prof. Ajay Singh gave introduction to UV-VIS Spectroscopy.
The special invitee was Dr. Sanjay Kumar, expert from Systonic Pvt. Ltd. He explained about the principle and instrumentation of UV-VIS Spectroscopy. He also demonstrated various graphs of absorbance by Spectrophotometers.
The seminar was co-ordinated by Dr. Poonam Negi, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry. Faculty members namely, Dr. B.S. Rawat, Dr. Bharti Ramola, Dr. Waseem Ahmad and Dr. Harish Chandra Joshi along with 110 students of Department of Chemistry, Biotechnology and Physics were present in the Training Programme. The main objective of the Seminar was to make students familiar about the most important spectroscopic techniques i.e UV-VIS Spectroscopy and its use in various fields Analytical Chemistry.
