Department of Physics organizes a two-day Seminar on “Application of Physics in Real World”

A Seminar on “Application of Physics in Real World” was organized by “EUREKA CLUB” of Department of Physics, SALS, on 28th & 29th November, 2019.

The program was inaugurated by Dr. B.S. Rawat (HOD-Physics). In his Inaugural Address, Dr. Rawat, stressed on the need of seminars which help students of Physics in exploring new areas and help them in accumulating information and knowledge about the subject.

The First Day of the Session saw participation of students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics (III Semester). The Seminar was on the topic “Application of Physics in Real World”. The students gave presentations on different topics like, Line Following Robot, Photo & Light Sensitive System, Air Purifier and many more.
The Second Session of the Seminar was for the students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Physics (I Semester). The students presented varied topics of Physics like Rain Alarm, Smoke Absorber, Water Level Indicator, Laser Security Alarm, Tesla Coil and many more.

Faculty Members of Department of Physics, namely, Dr. Suneeta Singh, Dr. Balendra Pratap Singh, Mr. Prateek Uniyal and Mrs. Kavita Pandey along with a large number of students of Department of Physics were present in the Seminar.

The main objective of the Seminar was to make students familiar with different aspects of physics and its applications in day to day life. The Presentation Session was also helpful in motivating the students to prepare and present different topics and was helpful in enhancing their communication skills.
