Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day Workshop on ‘Internal Combustion Engine’ in association with Insergo Technologies on 23rd April, 2018 for the II and III Year students of B. Tech. (Mechanical Engineering). The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri. Jitender Joshi, Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K.Joshi, and Dean-Engineering (UIT) Dr.BadhaiLonia by lighting the auspicious lamp. The Keynote Speakers were Mr. Dinesh Negi and Mr. Abhishek. The session started with a Welcome Note delivered by Mr.Sanjeev Joshi, Head – Department of Mechanical Engineering followed by the motivational speech of Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K.Joshi, who encouraged students for their efforts, shared his vision for Mechanical Engineering, emphasized the importance of Designing Software and shared his experiences.
The Expert Speakers spoke about IC Engine Concepts and Advanced Technologies like ABS, EBD, PGMFi, DTS-Fi, VVTI, CRDI and MPFI. They further spoke on the importance of designing and analysis of IC Engine parts which included the design of cylinder, piston, connecting rod, timing valves, to name a few. The Workshop was held in two sessions, the First Session was based on theory and the second was hands-on Practical Session on the design & analysis of engine parts. These technologies were quite new for the audience and they learned a lot regarding new advancements. This Workshop focused on enriching the students understanding on the subject of Advance Trends in IC Engine.
The program came to an end with the words of wisdom and Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr.Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, Head – Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Program was successfully organized by the faculty members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, with the help of student volunteers.
