Department of Mechanical Engineering celebrated Vishwakarma Puja 2022

The Department of Mechanical Engineering celebrated Vishwakarma Puja on 17 September 2022. According to Hindu culture, Lord Vishwakarma is described as the divine Engineer. As a mark of reverence, the Lord Vishwakarma is not only worshiped by the engineering community but also by all other professionals.

Lord Vishwakarma is the builder of the entire Gods’ palaces and the designer of all celestial vehicles and weapons. The occasion was celebrated by organizing a Puja which was performed by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble Vice President Prof (Dr) Satbir S Sehgal, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Dean UIT Prof (Dr) S D Pandey and Head of Mechanical Department, Mr Sanjeev Kumar Joshi in the University workshop along with HoDs of other departments, faculty members, technical staff, and students. In the end, ‘Prasad’ was distributed among the staff and students.

Hon’ble Chancellor extended his hearty greetings to the student, faculty members, and staff members. He further stated in his message that Lord Vishwakarma blesses those who respect and worship their tools and remain true to their work. Prof (Dr) Satbir S Sehgal, Hon’ble Vice President of the University stated that it’s the time for students and faculty to dedicate themselves to the cause of advancement of technology and gain divine inspiration for creating novel products.
