Continuing with the practice of giving valuable practical knowledge to the students, Department of communication, under the aegis of Uttaranchal University, organized a Guest Lecture for the students of BAJMC on 30th October, 2018. RJ Prateek from Radio Mirchi 93.5 FM, Lucknow was the Keynote Speaker. In his address he enlightened the students on the topic “How to become a Radio Jockey” wherein he focused on the qualities which a media student should possess. He explained the reason why radio is one of the most consumed media outlet in today’s date and what all career scopes are there in Radio Industry. He explained the importance of Digital Media in any profession. He motivated the students to strive for their aspirations and asked them to have faith on their capabilities. He further highlighted the need of good and versatile personality in the field of Media and Mass Communication. RJ Prateek discussed the solutions of problems which youngsters are facing in their daily life. He also focused on how to crack an interview with zeal and confidence. Towards the end of the lecture, he enlisted various career options in the field of Media and encouraged them to become successful media person.
