The demand of modern software-based learning has increased in the technology industry as the designs of various structures are now being developed using modern software. With an aim to expose the students to the same the Department of Civil Engineering organized a Seminar on ‘Modern Civil Engineering Software’ on 15th November, 2019.
The Seminar was conducted in collaboration with CADD Center Dehradun. The presentation regarding modern software was given by Mr. Subhodh Chamoli, Center Head – CADD Center, Dehradun. Introduction to RIVET Software was rendered and the students learnt easy ways of designing a structure drawing using this software. The software was provided to the students for practice and students were told to prepare drawing sheets. Mr. Subhodh Chamoli promised the students that he will be responding to all their queries regarding the software through e-mail and will also provide more sheets.
The Seminar concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by the Head of Department Dr. Faraz Tariq on behalf of Coordinator Mr. Awadhesh Chandramauli and all the Faculty Members of the Department.
