School of Agriculture (SOA) organized a Debate Competition on 23 September 2021 under the aegis of Eco Club, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun. This was an event that was scheduled under the celebration of Ozone Week. Various activities were planned and executed by varied departments of the University. The topic of the debate competition was ‘Is today’s lifestyle responsible for climate change?’ Students from all programmes participated in the event. They gave their views in favour and against the motion by illustrating with the help of facts and figures. Mr Amit Bhatt, Er Raja Joshi and Dr Neha Saini were present to judge the event. Winners were declared after compilation. Ms Nishat and Ms Riya Thapa compared the event and briefed them about the rules. At the end Dr Rachna Juyal proposed the vote of thanks.
Dean and HoD, SOA appreciated the effort of everyone and persuaded them to plan such events more in the future.
