UIPS offers Four Years Degree Programme (B Pharm). This programme provides the students with an opportunity to learn about the pharmaceutical industry as well as the health care system.
The pharmacy profession comprising the industrial and practise sectors is undergoing rapid change. The pharmaceutical industry and practice sectors need clinically and technologically trained pharmacy professionals who can face global challenges and compete with the multinational companies. Pharmacy students can set up their Pharmacy or Chemists Outlet to stock after registering with the State Pharmacy Council of India. They can work as a pharmacist in wholesale pharmaceutical companies, in a drug house or hospitals. The future of the Pharmaceutical Industry holds a wide range of career opportunities for young aspirants. They are in demand in varied fields like clinical research, drug testing and documentation, quality control, government health departments, to name a few. Today most pharmacists are involved in clinical trials worldwide. They evaluate new drug products and prepare documentation on the effectiveness and safety of new drugs. Pharmacists are involved extensively in the manufacturing, research, quality control, and marketing of Pharmaceuticals.
