The Uttaranchal University organized a two-week long pre-placement training session for B.Tech final year students of all branches, in collaboration with Career Launcher. The session started from 8 October 2013.
B.Tech students were given intensive training in company-specific written tests, group discussions and interview skills. A number of placement trainers, specializing in different techniques of placement from Career Launcher, held interactive sessions with students on individual basis, conducted mock interview sessions and built up the confidence of the students in facing the selection panel of the multi national companies. Language experts also helped the students in building up their communication skills.
Pre-placement training is a significant exercise for students who are on the verge of participating in placement process. This training gives them in-depth knowledge of the techniques of job-selection and how they can increase their chances of getting selected in their chosen careers by putting their best foot forward.
