Uttaranchal University Volleyball (M) and Football (M) Team performed well and stood Runner up in DBS Premier League-2019, a sports event organized by Doon Businees School, Dehradun from 28th March to 30th March, 2019.
After standing of score 2-2, Uttaranchal University Football Team won the First Match in Penalty Shootout by defeating the team of Kendriya Vidyalaya. In the Second Match Uttaranchal University Football Team defeated the team of DIT University by 1-0. In the Semifinal Match Uttaranchal University Team defeated the home team of Doon Business School by 6-0 and entered in Final Round of the event. After standing of score 0-0 with the Team of Dolphin PG Institute, Uttaranchal University Football Team lost the Final Match in the Penalty Shootout.
Uttaranchal University Volleyball (M) Team defeated the Maya Group of Colleges in the First Match and entered in Semifinal of the Tournament. In the Semifinal Match Uttaranchal University Team defeated the Team of DSSV, Haridwar and entered the Final Round of the Tournament where they lost the match against Dolphin PG Institute and stood Runner-up.
After returning to the University all the teams were appreciated and encouraged by Hon’ble Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N. K. Joshi and Director- Student Affairs & IT Services Dr. Abhishek Joshi. All the teams were guided and coordinated by Mr. Tarun Kumar, Sports In-charge, Uttaranchal University.
