NSS Wing of the Uttaranchal University organized a Community Development Program in Kehri Village, Premnagar, Dehradun on 2 October, 2018. Around a hundred students contributed in making it a success. The Community Development Programme has been the biggest rural reconstruction scheme undertaken by the Government of India. It has been variously described as the magna carta of hope and happiness for two-thirds of India’s population, the testament of emancipation, the declaration of war on poverty, ignorance, squalor and disease under which millions have been groaning. Its successful execution will bring back the village’s earlier economic prosperity. The programme, therefore, seeks to regain a lost paradise. It is intended to bring both outward and inward grace to the Indian village. So by keeping this objective NSS had organized the event and conducted it successfully.
