Centre of Excellence in “Smart Devices and IoT Applications” under the aegis of the Division of Research & Innovation at Uttaranchal University organized a summer internship for undergraduate students of transdisciplinary domains from 20 June to 18 July 2022.
The summer internship provided a platform for a real-world work experience for the students. The internship enables participants to get a definitive understanding of smart devices and the Application of IoT in real-time implementation. The Internet of Things (IoT) refers to the ever-growing network of physical objects and other Internet-enabled devices and systems.
The Chancellor, Shri Jitender Joshi, Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, and Director Research & Innovation, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Singh inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp. The Chancellor congratulated the students for their participation and motivated them for developing new innovative solutions for the problems faced by Society. The Vice-Chancellor enlightened the students about the importance of effective solutions in the form of smart devices with interesting examples and motivated students to come up with patents. Director, Research & innovation mentioned the need for an hour is not only for knowledge of the concept but also to implement it with the understanding of transdisciplinary aspects and implement.
While celebrating Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, this initiative of the University for internship on real-time implementation is in the alignment of many government initiatives like “Make in India” and “Atamnirbhar Bharat”. The internship was concluded by displaying projects on 20th July 2022 and students shared their experiences during the internship.
