Uttaranchal University Founder’s Day

It was a historical moment for Uttaranchal University, the only institution in the state with A+ ranking, on Tuesday, May 31, 2022, when it celebrated its Founder’s Day to commemorate the beginning of the journey, and all the hard work put in to become a centre of excellence for providing world class education to the youth of the country and for contributing to the growth of the nation through quality research. This coincidentally became the occasion of double jubilations and celebrations for the entire University family as it also happened to be the birthday of the Honourable Chancellor.

The celebrations of the event started in the auditorium of the University with the presentation of a bouquet by Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna to the Chancellor. After that Dr Bahuguna in his own unique style took the audience down the memory lane and shared his invaluable experiences of all these years at the university. It was followed by a musical performance by Mr Manish Ghalwan.

Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Dharam Buddhi addressed the gathering and congratulated everyone present on the occasion for the wonderful journey of the university. He also shared his vision and blueprint of the action plan to take the university to the greater heights of success in the forthcoming years. His address was followed by a melodious song presentation by a student Siddhant Singh Chauhan. Dr Anil Dixit from the faculty of Law also graced the occasion with his poetry.

This poetical atmosphere was taken to its zenith when Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar, an ardent poet by heart, added the aura and aroma of love, romance, and aestheticism through his Hindi poetry to the celebrations.

The event was graced by Prof (Dr) Abhishek Joshi, Director, SA&IT, all the Deans, Registrar, COE, all the members of faculty, staff, and all associates of the university. This entire event was successfully organized by Dr Bharti Ramola, under the aegis of University Cultural and Events Committee. The event concluded with singing of National Anthem.
