Uttaranchal University expressed its deep anguish on the death of Chief of Defense Staff Gen Bipin Rawat in a helicopter crash. Shri Jitender Joshi, Chancellor Uttaranchal University mentioned that Mr Rawats’s insights and perspectives on strategic matters were exceptional for the sake of country’s safety. He also paid homage with flowers in front of his photo. Prof (Dr) Dharam Budhhi, Vice-Chancellor also mentioned his chivalric journey and Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro V C described CDS Rawat as “an outstanding soldier and a true patriot. Prof Bahuguna read the condolences message followed by a two minute silence in the presence of All the Deans, Registrar, Examination Controller, all members of faculty, staff and students.
