Uttaranchal School of Computing Sciences celebrates “World Nature Conservation Day”

Prakriti Club & NSS Cell of UttaranchalSchool of Computing Sciences, USCS, Uttaranchal University conducted ‘Tree Plantation Activity ‘on the occasion of “World Nature Conservation Day”, on 28 July 2022, under the guidance of Prof (Dr) Sonal Sharma, Dean-USCS.

World Nature Conservation Day is observed annually on 28 July to create awareness about the need to preserve the environment and its natural resources. As the world faces challenges like climate change, deforestation, urbanisation, and loss of flora and fauna, it is important to protect nature and keep our natural environment safe. It is one of the primary objectives of World Nature Conservation Day is to draw attention to flora and fauna that are threatened with extinction

USCS celebrated this day by planting a “Pinwheel Sapling” in the arcade of Uttaranchal University.  The objective of the program is to create awareness about the importance of conserving the environment and its importance in human life. The event was conducted by Ms Manisha Khanduja and Mr Praveen Shah, and with the joint support of Mr Sameer Dev Sharma, Mr Abhishek Kumar Pathak and all the faculty members of USCS.
