Department of Mechanical Engineering organized a one-day Seminar on “Advance Technologies in Mechanical Engineering” on 13th April 2018. The event focused on the latest technologies that are being invented towards the advancement of technology. Dr.B.Lonia, Dean-Engineering graced the event with his presence.
The program initiated with the motivating speech of Dr. B. Lonia, Dean-Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, who encouraged the students for present and future efforts and shared his vision for Mechanical Engineering with them. Students of B.Tech. Mechanical Engineering participated in the Seminar and spoke on various new trends including Renewable Energy Applications (which aims at making human life simple), Compressed Air Engines by Modifying the Conventional I.C. Engines, Analysis of Box Type Solar Cooker with Heat Storage Material, Heat Transfer Enhancement using Packed Bed Fluidized Combustion System to name a few. These technologies were quite new for the audience and they learned a lot about new advancements. This Seminar focused on enriching the students understanding about advance trends in Mechanical Engineering.
The program concluded with the words of wisdom and Vote of Thanks delivered by Mr.Sanjeev Kumar Joshi, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering. The Program was successfully organized by the Faculty Members of the Department of Mechanical Engineering along with the Student Volunteers.
