Day 1:
Orientation Program for the students of B.Tech. 1st Year started on 16th August, 2019 at 9:30 a.m.
The 1st exercise was the introduction of the Co-ordinator of 1st Year, Mr. Himanshu Goel to the students along with their respective Mentors and Class Coordinators. Students filled their Mentor Forms for their formal as well as personal details. After this, Dr. Sumit Chaudhary, Director – UIT interacted with the students and gave a presentation wherein he briefed about various departments of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology. He also gave the information about the Activity Calendar of the Odd Semester and introduced various Heads of the Departments of UIT.
Post lunch an interaction between students and T&P cell conducted. Mr. Sahani, Head of Training and Placement interacted with the students and gave them the necessary information about the activities of T&P. He also introduced his entire team which included the faculties of PDP, quant, Vedic Maths, etc. He also gave the information about the regular recruiters of the university, separately for each branch. He directed the students regarding their preparation and initiatives towards placement activities in future.
