An Orientation Program for First Year B. Pharm students was organized in UIPS from 16 -22 August, 2019. The Orientation Program was planned to give an overview of Course Curriculum. Dr. Anuj Mittal, Dr. Amit Semwal, Dr. Arvind Negi and Mr. Tarun Parashar inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp.
Dr. Anuj Mittal welcomed students and their parents. He talked about the Pharmacy field and gave an overview of pharmacy as a profession and also highlighted on the different job opportunities available for pharmacy graduates. He gave the total overview of the course and department. In his address Dr. Mittal advised the students to utilize the various types of facilities made available in the college, encouraged the students to develop qualities to face the challenges in the field of Pharmacy and to come out successful in their challenging lives and advised the students to excel in studies and be a winner in courses opted by them.
Dr. Amit Semwal told about the course curriculum and different activities carried out by the department. He gave a presentation of the profession of Pharmacy detailing course content with rules and regulations and outlined its future scope and also introduced the faculty members and assured the parents about the safety of their wards.
Dr. Avind Negi told about the Anti-Ragging Committee, its role and functions.
Mr. Tarun Parashar explained the Examination Rules & Ordinances of the Department.
Students who had taken admission accompanied by their parents attended the programme and expressed their views on the quality of the academic programmes imparted by the Department.
The programme ended with Question-Answer Session and at the end the students were asked to fill the Feedback Forms.
The programme was anchored by Ms. Pallavi Ghildiyal, Ms. Tanya Agarwal and Ms. Soniya Rani.
