Women Cell of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences organized an event on the forthcoming occasion of ‘International Women’s Day’ on 07th March, 2020 with the Faculty Members and students. The event included an address by Director Prof. (Dr.) Anuj Mittal who spoke on ‘Women Power’. He stated that ‘International Women’s Day’ is a celebration of all women around the globe and the achievements that have been accomplished. This day is about unity, celebration and connection of all the amazing women in the world. He concluded that, the day is a great opportunity for everyone to connect in celebration and support of all women who have impacted today’s society.
Faculty Members shared their thoughts on the importance of gender equality and diversity in the workplace concluding that ‘International Women’s Day’ recognizes and helps women gain full and equal involvement in making a global impact.

erent fields.
The celebration concluded with a cake cutting ceremony. This initiative was well received, applauded and appreciated not only by the women associates but also by the students at large.
