The Department of Computer Applications, Uttaranchal Institute of Management, organized a two-day workshop on, “Web Development Using Django” in collaboration with ‘Ensino Research and Development’ on 10th and 11th May, 2020.
Dr. Sonal Sharma (HOD-IT) initiated the virtual session with an informative speech on the need for conducting such types of sessions during the lockdown. She welcomed Mr. Ashok Longwani (Director-Ensino) and Mr. Saud Ahmed (Senior Trainer).
On Day 1, Mr. Saud Ahmed commenced with explaining the relevance of Web, Webpage and Website. Mr. Ahmed revisited the basic concepts of Web Development to build a rapport with the viewers. He further explained complex concepts like Bootstrap and the like. Each and every concept was explained thoroughly with the help of examples and implementation. The first session culminated with Questions and Answers Round.
On Day 2, the expert elaborated on the practical implementations of database using mysql-lite. He also explained how to incorporate different sets of Python using the Django Framework. The various techniques that can be applied to design a dynamic website were explained by the usage of extensive programs. Students were inquisitive to learn about new traits.
The sessions were very highly interactive and helped the students to upgrade themselves with the knowledge of these new emerging techniques.
More than 50 students participated in the training. All the participants were very enthusiastic and thankful to the organizers as well as the trainers. Dr. Sharma proposed a Vote of Thanks. She thanked Director-Ensino Mr. Ashok Longwani for being supportive during the lockdown and providing experts for training. She also extended her gratitude towards the Trainer for his time and efforts.
