The 5-Day Training Programme on ‘Data Analytics Using Python’ organized by Computer Application Department of Uttaranchal Institute of Management concluded on August 2, 2019.
Dr. Sonal Sharma was the Master of Ceremony. She expressed her gratitude towards Hon,ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) NK Joshi for his support in organizing the Training Programme. She also thanked Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri for his leadership and Trainer Mr. Savood Ahmed for his wonderful teachings. She further summarized the skills addressed and developed in the programme, listing them as follows:
Open-source data science libraries in Python including NumPy, Matplotlib, Scikit-learn and Pandas etc.
Creation of GUI applications.
Data Visualization Techniques.
Scrapping Techniques for capturing and analyzing data from Social Networking sites.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) NK Joshi praised the endeavor of the UIM team in conducting such a relevant Training Programme and emphasized upon the need to conduct such events on a regular basis for the knowledge enhancement of the faculty. He also advocated inter-disciplinary research among different departments of the University. He motivated to channelize such advanced learnings towards writing in-House or Government sponsored projects.
Prof. (Dr.) Pradeep Suri, in his address, emphasized upon the need for the faculty to learn all new tools and techniques and deliver them to the students to prepare them for the industry.
Thereafter, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) NK Joshi distributed Participation Certificates to all the participants of the Training Programme.
Dr. Sonal Sharma conveyed her gratitude to the Co-Organizer Dr. Himani Maheshwari and thanked all for active participation in the programme, thus, making it a success.
