Uttaranchal Institute of Management organizes a Seminar on “Career Counselling and Job Profiling”

A seminar on ‘Career Counselling and Job Profiling’ was organised by the Department of Management, Uttaranchal Institute of Management on 16th November, 2017.  Mr P Anshu was the Keynote Speaker for the event. The event was attended by Dr. Pradeep Suri (Director UIM), Dr. D S Chaubey (Dean-Research), Dr.  S M Mariyam Fatima (HOD-Management), many faculty members of the management stream and the  final year management students.

The programme commenced with the felicitation of the guest speaker Mr P Anshu, by Dr Pradeep Suri. Dr Padeep Suri in his welcome note advised the students to be very attentive and to ask questions related to their career plans & make the best use of Mr P Anshu’s expertise.

The master of ceremony, Ms. Shailee Parmar introduced the Key Speaker. Mr P Anshu has the experience of working with a leading KPO and US Broker Dealers and Investment Advisers and has learnt Six Sigma. He has over eight years of rich experience in Operations Management, Team Management, Brokerage Services, Insurance and Mutual Funds. Mr P Anshu has been a freelance trainer since 2014.

The Key Speaker started his presentation on a very positive note by clarifying to the students that there is no dearth of jobs in the market. The only requirement is possession of right employability skills. He advocated the students for S-M-A-R-T (S-specific, M-measurable, A-attainable, R-realistic, T-time bound goals) career planning. He also made an effort to trigger the process of self-analysis and self-motivation amongst the students. Besides, Mr Anshu also enlightened the students on job profiling under different domains like Finance, Marketing & Human Resource Management etc.

He informed the students that in 25 new banks are proposed to be opened in India with a huge employment potential. The session became interactive towards the end with students putting forward their queries in relation to their career plans and other confusions pertaining to it. The Key Resource Person honoured the queries of the students quite aptly.The whole programme was well coordinated by the master of the ceremony Ms Shailee Parmar.
