School of Applied and Life Sciences organized a Guest Lecture on ‘Gene Manipulation and Mushroom Cultivation’ on 30th April, 2018 for the students of B.Sc. (Hons.) Biotechnology and B.Sc.(Hons.)Food Technology. The Key Speaker of the event was Dr. Sachin Chauhan (Director – TaqGene Training & Research Institute). He explained the recent trends in Mushroom cultivation and discussed about the basic concepts of spooning and seeding. He also explained the needs of Biotechnology and Food Technology based industries in today’s environment.

Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh (Principal-SALS), Dr. Nishesh Sharma (Head- Department of Biotechnology), Er. Sanjay Kumar (Head-Department of Food Technology) along with other Faculty Members of SALS were present on this occasion.
