Uttaranchal College of Agricultural Sciences, Uttaranchal University, Dehradun, organized a Workshop on ‘Apiculture: Handling, Feeding & Swarming in Bees’ on 24th and 25th April, 2018. The key speaker of the session was Dr. Rajendra Singh, Asst. Professor, SVPUA&T, Modipuram, Meerut. In his first lecture on 24th April, 2018, Dr. Rajendra Singh emphasized on ‘Introduction to Apiculture, Importance and History’. On the second day he gave a lecture on ‘Colony Organization and Life Cycle’. Dr. Singh addressed students’ queries on handling and feeding of bees and how they can start their start-up in bee-keeping. Dr. Narendra Kumar Bhatia, Scientist D, CSB, Sahaspur, Dehradun, motivated the students to aim entrepreneurship in bee-keeping and honey production.
