The Cultural Committee of Uttaranchal Institute of Technology, Uttaranchal University has organized Tattoo Art Competition on the occasion of World Sparrow Day / World Happiness Day on 20 March , 2022 with full vivacity on Monday i.e. 21/03/22. This day is meant to raise awareness about the sparrows and the dangers it confronts. To honour this day, a Tattoo Art competition was organized, students showcased their artistic talent by drawing tattoos and celebrated the ecological significance of sparrows and pledged to protect the bird which is now on the verge of extinction. The event was graced by the encouraging words of Prof (Dr) S D Pandey, Dean UIT. He shared his views regarding the importance of celebrating world Sparrow Day. Dr Bharti Ramola, Chairperson, Cultural Committee, Uttaranchal University judged the event. The students from different colleges have participated in the event, among them Ms Nidhi Dhiman and Ms Kavita Gaura from UIT emerged as the winners of the event. During the event all the faculty members of the cultural committee were present. Students of Civil, CSE and Mechanical Engineering volunteered to make the program successful. At the valedictory session certificates were distributed among the winners and vote of thanks was proposed by the Dr Pooja Joshi ,Cultural-Head–UIT. The details of runner ups are as follows:

First Runner-up: Manish Biswas ( SLA) & Garvit Brijwasi (UIM)
Second Runner-up: Sayansh Kaushal (SLA) & Ayush Nirala (SLA)
