National Service Scheme, Uttaranchal University, organized and conducted one day camp on the theme of Swachch Bharat Abhiyaan on 30 October 2021. The purpose of this camp was to enhance the awareness among the students about Cleanliness and Hygiene and their importance in personal and social life. The NSS unit had chalked out an elaborate action plan to conduct this camp. It was decided that student volunteers will undertake the cleaning of the classrooms and laboratories on the campus. The volunteers also undertook the cleaning of their workplaces and the entire campus. The volunteers took the mission of cleaning all sites of religious and historical importance around the campus so that it will become an explicit example for everyone around.
The student volunteers started from the University Campus with the blessings of the honorable Chancellor Shri Jitender Joshi of the University. They divided themselves into two separate groups so that they could do the cleaning work in all the corners of the University Campus.
The entire event was a big success and the students completed their day after long and tiring work hours under the banner of NSS, with the active guidance of the team leaders chosen from among the senior students themselves. The entire camp was monitored by Dr V K Srivastava who encouraged the students with his kind and generous words.
