For the encouragement of young minds to participate in extra-curricular activities for overall development and to promote the students to actively engage in sports activities and to provide platform to the students, Uttaranchal University organized a Sushila Devi Memorial Cricket Tournament during 26th March 2017 to 1st April 2017. This Competition will help to develop qualities of leadership, tolerance, sharing and team sprit among all participants. The event was grand success as 20 different teams have participated in the event.
Further on the basis of Knockout matches at last final match was played between Vikasnagar Panthers comprising students from Uttaranchal Institute of Management V/s Star XI comprising students from Law College Dehradun and Uttaranchal Institute of Technology. Final Match was 12 over’s each.
Vikasnagar Panthers won the toss and elected to field. Star XI put an easy target of 78 runs for the fall of 10 wickets. Both the team had given their best in the final match, finally Winner of the Tournament was Vikasnagar Panthers and Runner-ups was Star XI Team,
All the Winners and Runner-ups were facilitated by Mr. Jitender Joshi Chancellor, Uttaranchal University with Trophies.
