Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Sciences organizes a Workshop on “Food Entrepreneurship and Traditional Recipes”

Department of Food Technology, Uttaranchal College of Applied and Life Sciences (UCALS) organized a one-week Workshop on “Food Entrepreneurship and Traditional Recipes” from 4th to 10th June, 2018. The workshop was inaugurated by Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K. Joshi and Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh Principal, UCALS by lighting the auspicious lamp. The entire workshop was formally organized by the Department of Food Technology under the guidance of Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Singh.

Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) N.K Joshi congratulated all the faculty members for the conduction of the workshop. Dr. Ajay Singh, Convener of the Event, in his Welcome Address, stated that the goal of the workshop was to develop entrepreneurship skills and enhance personal characteristics, interpersonal skills, critical & creative thinking skills and practical skills of the faculty and showcase the traditional recipes of different states. A lecture on ‘Development of Entrepreneurship Skills’ was delivered by Prof. Pradeep Suri, Dean, Uttaranchal Institute of Management (UIM). Lecture and Practical Workshop was conducted by Dr. Shuchi Upadhyay, Organizing Secretary and Head of the Department of Food Technology and Dr. Manish Badoni, Head of Department of Hotel Management.

Approximately 45 faculty members from various colleges of Uttaranchal University actively participated in this workshop.
