NSS Wing of Uttaranchal University celebrated the Birth Anniversary of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel on 31st October, 2016. The NSS Wing organised a ‘Pledge Taking Ceremony’ and ‘Run for Unity’ to commemorate “Rashtriya Ekta Diwas”.
The event was inaugurated by Hon’ble Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor of the University. Students from all the constituent colleges of the University took the oath to preserve the unity, integrity and security of the nation and participated in ‘Run for Unity’ to spread awareness. 300 students of the University and 50 NSS candidates participated in the event.
The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. V.K. Srivastava, NSS Coordinator, Uttaranchal University. Dr. Ajay Singh (Principal-UCALS), Mr. Atma Nand, Dr. Ajay Singh, Ms. Dipika Saxena, and Dr. Mohit Kumar were present on the occasion.
