Cultural events play an important role in the holistic development of students. It acts as a means of accumulation, storage, and transmission of experiences of all involved. These events help a student to follow their interest with the development of leadership qualities along with time management. The confidence level of the students is enhanced thereby allowing them to perform better. These activities develop the personality of the students and assist them in shaping a good career.
Keeping this in mind, the Cultural and Event Committee, Uttaranchal University organized, Infusion- 2022 a series of cultural events for the students of the University. The events were organized on 26 & 27 April 2022.
Chief Guest Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Uttaranchal University was given a warm welcome by Dean Student Welfare Prof (Dr) Shravan Kumar and Chairperson CEC Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola. This was followed by the lighting of an auspicious lamp by Pro Vice-Chancellor, Dean Student Welfare and Chairperson, CEC. The event was declared open by the President UUCEC student body, Mr. Naitik Bhatt, after the kulgeet of the University. Selected students of all the schools of Uttaranchal University participated in various Competitions. The judges for the day were Mr. Keshav Moudgil- former President of UUCEC student body, (2018-19),
Mr. Nitish Chauhan-former Secretary of UUCEC student body, Ms Deeksha Chauhan- President of UUCEC student body (2019-20) and Mr. Rajat Panwar. A large number of students of various colleges of Uttaranchal University witnessed the wonderful show put up by all the participants. A Rangoli making and Face Painting event was also organized in the Civil block of Uttaranchal University.
Day 2 witnessed Drama and Fashion Show. The acting and fashion sense of the students was showcased during the event.
In Drama, students enacted a wide range of topics like sacrifices of Indian soldiers, problems faced by farmers, and effect of pandemic, to name a few.
Fashion show consisted of three rounds namely, Professional, Traditional & Spring- Summer.
Judges for the Drama Competition was Mrs. Jyoti Gulati and for the Fashion Show were Kunal Chawla and Mr. Ravinder Singh Rawat.
All present thoroughly enjoyed the event.
A prize distribution ceremony was held on 5 April 2022. Shri Jitender Joshi, Chancellor, Uttaranchal University was the Chief Guest for the Prize Distribution ceremony and Mrs. Anuradha Joshi, Vice-Chairperson, Uttaranchal University was the Guest of Honor.
All the dignitaries and audience were given a warm welcome by the Chairperson of the Cultural & Event Committee, Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola. In his speech Pro- vice Chancellor, Prof (Dr) Rajesh Bahuguna motivated the students to always give their best in every field they choose to participate.
Vice- Chancellor, Prof. Dharam Buddhi, congratulated all the committee members for organising such an event where the talent of University students could be seen.
Some of the programmes were showcased to the audience also.
All Deans of various colleges, faculty members and a large number of students of Uttaranchal university were present on the occasion. The efforts of faculty and student coordinators were greatly appreciated by one and all present.
Badges to office bearers of UUCEC student body were also given be Hon’ble Chancellor. He appreciated the efforts of all the anchors of the event who had aptly coordinated the entire show. In the end, the Vote of thanks was proposed by Vice- President UUCEC student body, Yatendra Singh.
