In the career of a student seeking a professional degree, an industrial visit is extremely important. Industrial visits are part of the college curriculum, and its goal is to give students insight into how companies operate internally. In light of this, the Pharmaceutics Club of Uttaranchal Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Uttaranchal University, scheduled an industrial visit to Windlas Biotech Ltd, Selaqui, Dehradun, on 09 April 2022 for students of B Pharm II year. A total of 50 students were present during the visit.
Mr Mohan Gaur welcomed the students and briefed them about the company. The students were divided into two groups and given a detailed description of the production area along with the quality control and quality assurance department. He explained the whole manufacturing steps of tablets and how granulation, compression, coating, and packaging took place in the production area. Different sophisticated instruments handling was well explained by him. Various in-process parameters were discussed which provides in-depth knowledge about the experimental work. At the end of the visit, Mr Gaur invited queries from the student end. Many students raised their queries and he responded to them suitably and with proper details, students were excited by this practical exposure. The visit proved to be a great learning experience for students.
