Eco- Cops…The Home of Eco- Warriors celebrated Himalaya Day with the theme Wisdom, Knowledge, and new S&T For Rejuvenation of Himalaya on 9 September 2022.
A Quiz Competition was organized for the students of Uttaranchal University to spread awareness & educate the students about the remarkable Eco-culture importance that the Himalayas holds for us.
About 33 teams participated in the event. A team comprised a maximum of 3 students. The quiz was started with the welcome address by the Dean SALS, and the President of Eco-Club, Prof (Dr) Ajay Singh. In his speech, Dr Ajay Singh raised awareness regarding non-biodegradable products especially plastics, among the students of Uttaranchal University among fellow students and in their locality.
The quiz was held in four rounds and consisted of questions related to the Himalayas, environmental pollution, sustainability, Biodiversity, environmental Acts and Ethics.
A vote of thanks was proposed by Prof (Dr) Bharti Ramola, Vice-President, Eco- Club and Coordinator UNAI, Uttaranchal University.
Animesh Raturi, Aum Garg, Ashish Chauhan, Nikhil, Abhishek, Hanna, Shurya and Shivam helped in the smooth conduction of the event. Mr Shivam Pandey, Dr V K Srivastava, Dr Nishesh Sharma and Dr Sadhna Awashi were present during the event. More than 100 students participated in the Quiz Competition. Aastha Bahuguna compered the event.
