A Skill Development Programme for the faculty and technicians of UIT is being conducted on MATLAB Software from 21 January to 24 January, 2014. The programme was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof (Dr) S. C. Joshi.
Along with the participants, Dr Vijay Raj, Director UIT, Dr Raj K Dhar Vice Dean (Academics) and HOD’s were present on the occasion.
Prof. Joshi highlighted the importance of developing continuously the skills of faculty and technicians, who are the backbone of technical education.
Dr Vijay Raj, Director UIT, emphasized on the importance of the programme for the engineering students in various areas like preparation of project reports, image and video processing, Statistics and Optimization etc.
Dr Raj K Dhar Vice Dean (Academics) gave her blessings for the success of the programme.
The programme is being conducted by trained in house faculty in two sessions:
- Morning session (10am-12 noon) for ECE and CSE Departments
- Afternoon session (2.00pm – 04.00pm) for CE, EEE & ME Depts
The Uttaranchal University lays emphasis on developing professional competence of faculty and technicians, a vital component of teaching learning process.
